Switch to HIT Pacific Broadband

Already on the NBN? Bring your service to us. Same NBN box, same address, same connection — it just moves to us. All you need is your AVC ID.

What’s a “churn”?

“Churn” is the NBN industry word for moving a service from one provider to another. Your NBN box and the line to your home stay exactly as they are; NBN simply connects them to us instead of your current provider. You may see the word on your old provider’s bill or in their emails once you switch.

How switching works

1

Check your address

Enter your address and choose Transfer the service already at this address. It’s for the current account holder.

2

Pick your plan

Choose the speed you want. No lock-in contract.

3

Enter your AVC ID

At the “Your details” step. It’s how NBN knows the service is yours to move.

4

Pay your first bill

We place your switch with NBN as soon as your payment clears, and email you when it’s done.

Finding your AVC ID

Your AVC ID is the NBN’s reference for your service. It’s on your current provider’s bill, in their app, or in their online portal. It always starts with AVC followed by numbers, like AVC000123456789.

Can’t find it? Ask your current provider for your “NBN AVC ID”. They have it on file.

On switch day

Your connection moves over with a quick port reset. To be back online straight away, your modem or router (your internet gateway) needs one setting:

We’re happy to help with your internet gateway settings. Not sure where the setting is? Call us on 07 3569 1900, email hello@hitpacific.com.au or message us on Facebook Messenger and we’ll walk you through it, before or after your switch.

After you switch

When the switch is done, your old provider’s service ends. It’s worth a quick check with them:

Moving house instead?

A switch is for the service already at your address. If you’re moving into a new place, check your new address: if it’s ready for a new connection, we’ll show you. Or call us on 07 3569 1900 and we’ll sort out the best way to get you connected.

Ready to switch?

Have your AVC ID handy and it takes a few minutes. No lock-in contract, native IPv6 included, and a real person on the phone if you need a hand.
